For an ordained person (both Minnesota residents and non-residents) to be authorized to perform marriage ceremonies in Minnesota, the person must be at least 21 years old and must register with a Minnesota county prior to the ceremony.
*Ordination credentials are no longer required to register.  

Requirements: 

  • Complete and submit an Ordination Form. 
  • Submit a copy of your credentials or ordination certificate per MN Statute 517.05, if applicable
  • Pay fee of $50
