Steele County Non-Profit Community Partner Awards

Funding for the Steele County Non-Profit Community Partner Awards (NPCPA) is sourced from the Steele County Appropriations Fund, which is designated to support agencies furthering a public purpose for the benefit of all Steele County residents. The Steele County Board of Commissioners has entrusted Steele County Public Health with the responsibility of reviewing funding applications from local 501(c)(3) organizations dedicated to health and human services initiatives within Steele County. Subsequently, Steele County Public Health is responsible for presenting recommendations to the Board regarding the allocation of funds on an annual basis. Through this process, Steele County aims to strategically distribute resources to support impactful programs and services benefiting the health of Steele County residents.
All applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits AND have as their primary purpose to provide health and/or human services to residents of Steele County. Individuals are not eligible for funding. Programs/services supported by this funding must align with at least one of the priorities in the 2025-2029 Dodge-Steele Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP). These priorities include:
- Mental Health & Substance Use
- Financial Stability (including but not limited to poverty, employment, food security, housing stability, and healthcare access)
Available Funding: Applicants may request awards between $5,000 and $10,000. Funding is not guaranteed for all applicants, and award amounts may be adjusted at the discretion of the Steele County Board of Commissioners.

- Form W-9
- Proof of non-profit status (e.g., first two pages of IRS Form 990)
