Purchased in 1915, the Steele County Fairgrounds sits at the corner of South Cedar Avenue and 18th Street SW in Owatonna, MN. Over the past century, it has grown into a central hub for community events, recreation, and local history.
The property is home to a variety of important facilities and attractions, including the Four Seasons Centre buildings, the UMN Community Center, the Steele County Historical Society, softball diamonds, the grandstands, and the Village of Yesteryear—along with many other community spaces and amenities.
For one week each year, the Steele County Fairgrounds is transformed into the largest free county fair in Minnesota. Vendors, rides, attractions, and exhibitors from across the United States and Canada come together to create a vibrant celebration that draws visitors from near and far.
