A marriage license purchased in Minnesota only allows you to be married in Minnesota. Your marriage license is valid for six (6) months.

AFTER YOU APPLY ONLINE, PLEASE CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT
Both applicants must be at the office no later than 4:00 p.m.
Bring the following items with you:
- Identification such as a driver's license or state ID
- Divorce date and court name or date of death of former spouse
- Certificate of Pre-marital Education (if applying for reduced fee license)
The marriage license fee for parties who have completed at least 12 hours of premarital education is $50.00. The fee for the license is $125.00 if you have not met the premarital education requirements.
