All inmate visiting at the Steele County Detention Center will be done via video visiting. This means there is no face to face contact between the visitor and the detainee. A detainee may have two 20-minute visits per day from the lobby area. Visitors may only see one detainee per visiting session but may visit the same detainee two times in one day at different sessions.
All accounts for video visiting must be created by going to https://team3.inmatecanteen.com/#/. Account approval may take up to 24 hours to be approved. Please plan accordingly.
Staff are not responsible to notify detainees of an active visit.
**Please note that if all visiting stations are in use, your call will not go through and you will have to continue to dial until your call is connected to the housing unit.**
ON-SITE VISITATION TIMES:
- On Site Visits - Monday - Sunday 12:30 pm- 4:00 pm
- On Site Visits - Monday - Sunday 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm
You may set up the account in the visiting area at the Detention Center or on another computer prior to arrival. Lobby Visits are at no cost to friends and family.
Online Visiting:

Online visiting from home is .39 cents per minute and requires a credit card.
VISITATION RULES:
Detainees can refuse any visit. The Steele County Detention Center reserves the right to deny or terminate a visit which may be a threat to the safety and security of this facility. Additionally, an inmate has the right to refuse a visit if they so choose. Visits may be denied if the detainee is under disciplinary sanctions. Please note the following:
- Visitors will not be permitted to visit on site if they are under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- The use of cell phones during visiting is prohibited by visitors.
- Food and beverages are not allowed in the visiting areas.
- Minor children must be supervised at all times.
- Visits can be denied or terminated at any time due to inappropriate language, actions or attire.
- All visits are recorded.
